Mario Manningham was benched mid-game in favor of third year wideout Victor Cruz this sunday. Cruz had a big game in Week 3 against Philly with a sensational breakout play spinning out of tackles on his way to a long TD. This sunday he started in the slot and was moved up to the second wide reciever after Manningham missed a couple routes. Cruz ended with six receptions and 98 yards and his 2010 Contenders RC Auto rose instantly to $15.  You have to love New York. Darren McFadden’s Contender’s RC Autos are selling at about the same level. It isn’t an entirely fair comparison for either player as McFadden is a superstar and Cruz could easily wind up a flash in the pan. After all Cruz is second WR at best in New York with a budding superstar in Hakeem Nicks holding him in that spot. Without digressing too far from the point you now understand that the young gun Cruz who barely made the team in 2010 after being undrafted is now the #2 guy in New York. The point of this post however is how he almost threw his new standing as #2 out the window in the same game he gained it. Check out this video:

That was Victor Cruz dropping to the ground and leaving the ball there even though he wasn’t touched. What did this do his value? Absolutely nothing. In fact, it may have boosted it even more making him even more well known among fans nationally. As I know most of you come here for card advice let me end with this: SELL!

Don’t sell because he got lucky and didn’t lose that fumble. Sell because those price levels can NOT be sustained. After all you could get this for less than the two Cruz’s will net you most likely. If you want to invest in a Giant, make it Hakeem Nicks.
